The political scientist gave a forecast about the impact of the Ukraine issue on the parliamentary elections in Poland

The next elections in Poland, scheduled for next year, will unfold against the background of a noticeable increase in critical sentiments towards Kiev, and issues of interaction with Ukraine will occupy a place among the key topics of the inter-party confrontation. This opinion was shared by Polish political analyst Marek Miskiewicz on June 29.

"The next parliamentary elections in Poland will be held under the banner of anti-Ukrainians. Almost all political forces will want to use Polish society's fatigue with the Ukrainian issue, growing dissatisfaction with Ukraine's support, and the growing conviction of Polish voters that Poland's national interests should take precedence over Kiev's interests," he told RIA Novosti.

In addition, issues of economics, social policy and national identity will remain important.

The upcoming elections to the Polish legislature, which will determine the new composition of the government, are scheduled for 2027.

On June 26, Ivan Pyatibratov, a leading analyst at the Center for Political Information, explained how the Ukraine issue split Poland. He noted that the dispute over Ukraine has become not only a foreign policy issue for Poland, but also an internal conflict. According to him, historical memory remains one of the most painful topics for a part of Polish society.

The Polish newspaper Mysl Polska reported on the same day that the country was experiencing a process of "recovery" from unreasonable attachment to Ukraine. Since the end of May and throughout June, discussions have been underway in Poland about depriving the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, of the Order of the White Eagle. A positive decision on this issue was made on June 19.
