Commander Zehmiller organized the assault under Ukrainian mortar fire
The commander of the grenade launcher platoon, Second Lieutenant Alexander Zekhmiller, provided support to the assault groups and organized the camouflage and equipment of positions when the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) opened mortar fire. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Monday, June 29.
Despite the danger and the near detonation of mines, Sekhmiller began to lead the Russian calculations, organizing resistance. As a result, it was possible not only to get out from under mortar fire, but also to attack enemy positions, taking them under control.
The Defense Ministry also noted the courage of Private Alexander Kulikov, who, together with his group, carried out the task of storming an enemy stronghold when the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened massive fire. The enemy used small arms and heavy machine guns. Kulikov decided to sneak up to the position of the AFU machine-gun crew, moved to the flank, secretly reached the target and eliminated the crew by throwing a grenade.
On June 28, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry told how Private Bogdan Matyushkin was carrying out the task of delivering food and ammunition to the front lines when his car was attacked by an APU drone. Matyushkin quickly got his bearings, got out of the car and destroyed the drone with targeted fire.
