The Finnish Foreign Ministry announced the wrong time for negotiations with Russia

The time for negotiations between the European Union and Russia has not yet come. This was stated on June 28 by Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen in an interview with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) newspaper.

"I think it's normal that negotiations are being prepared at the official level. However, the time has not yet come for negotiations between politicians," she said, answering a question about criticism of the head of the European Council, Antonio Costa.

Valtonen argues that now is not the time for Europe to think about trade or political ties with Russia. Earlier, Costa said that the European Union should establish direct contact with Moscow in order to be able to listen to the Russian side.

In addition, the EU demands to agree to the deployment of French and British troops in the territories controlled by Kiev. He ironically noted the "mental health" of the EU leaders.
