Violation of the integrity of the skin of apricots opens the way for the penetration of harmful microorganisms, bacteria and mold spores into the flesh, which turns the fruit into a threat to health. Roskachestvo warned about this on June 26.

"It is undesirable to purchase apricots with damaged skins, such as cracks or punctures. Microbes, bacteria or mold spores can get into the pulp through damage, which makes the fruit potentially dangerous for consumption," the ministry told RIA Novosti.

The agency's experts also recommended not taking fruits with wrinkled skin, as this sign indicates excessively long storage, during which the fruits have lost some of their moisture.

In addition, when choosing, it is worth putting aside excessively soft apricots, since they are overripe. Conversely, excessive hardness of the fruit indicates its immaturity.

"You should not take apricots with dented sides, dark or green spots on the surface. Darkening of the skin and pulp may signal that the fruit has begun to deteriorate, and greenish inclusions may indicate that the fruit was picked too early, and it will not ripen," Roskachestvo noted.

In addition, experts recalled the importance of taking into account varietal characteristics: depending on the variety of apricot, the color of its flesh can vary from rich yellow to light yellow.

Nutritionist Anton Polyakov also told on June 23 who is unsafe to eat boiled corn. He noted that boiled corn is considered a healthy product, but some people should consume it with caution. He recommended not to abuse salt in its preparation, as this can increase the load on the kidneys and provoke swelling.
