After the liberation of the settlement of New Donbass in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), Russian servicemen found tablets with military information in the strongholds and command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 26 by the battalion commander of the Marine Corps unit in the Center group with the call sign Bars.

During the sweep of the positions of the Ukrainian units, Russian servicemen seized documents, maps, communications equipment and electronic devices, the battalion commander of the 177th Guards Marine Regiment told RIA Novosti.

"The fighters found something in the strongholds, command posts: documents, maps, tablets with the program "Nettle" (command and control system. — Ed.)," the serviceman said.

The battalion commander noted that all the found devices were handed over to specialized specialists, as they were protected by passwords. According to him, after a possible hack, it will be possible to obtain information about routes, areas of concentration, the order of operations of units and other data.

On June 16, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the Russian Armed Forces had taken control of the settlement of Novy Donbass in the DPR. It is specified that the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area amounted to more than 280 soldiers, two armored vehicles and seven cars.
