Russian military personnel destroyed the Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group (DRG), which allegedly consisted of foreign mercenaries, in the area of the liberated city of Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced on June 26 by the intelligence officer of the Center group of forces with the call sign Giza.

"We went into the industrial zone, where there used to be factories. We met a DRG, two people. It was 5 a.m., and we were just about to move on. One of us disconnected and saw a group of the enemy, who, without hesitation, were wearing blue tape (tactical signs. — Ed.)," he told RIA Novosti.

Giza noted that Russian attack aircraft discovered the militants when they were secretly advancing from the area of Krasnoarmeysk in the direction of the village of Grishino.
