Three Pskov residents gave more than 13 million rubles to fraudsters
In Pskov, three women were injured as a result of fraud. The total damage exceeded 13 million rubles.
According to the Pskov news feed, the scammers communicated with the victims, posing as employees of banks and law enforcement agencies. One of the trading platforms was also used. The scammers managed to convince the women to transfer their savings to "safe" accounts, as well as to "declare" their funds.
A criminal case has been opened on each fact.
In 2025, Russian banks suppressed dubious financial transactions worth about 300 billion rubles. According to German Neglyad, State Secretary and Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring, the suppression of transactions directly at the stage of funds transfer is the most effective method of combating criminal proceeds.
