UAZ showed the updated "Patriot" on trials
Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) is currently conducting certification tests of the updated Patriot SUV. Representatives of the company told about this on June 25 in their Telegram channel, where they also shared footage from the tests.
"Right now, at the test site, specialists are testing the model for compliance with the requirements of active, passive and environmental safety, and testing is in full swing," UAZ said.
The fact that specialists from the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant are conducting final tests of the updated Patriot SUV with a turbocharged diesel engine at the NAMI test site in the Moscow region became known in mid-June.
In May, the Sollers group posted a video on social media with a story about the updated UAZ Patriot SUV. Together with the restyled "Pro" and "Pickup" models, it should appear on the roads of Russia this fall. In particular, the design of the front end of the SUV has changed, LED optics have appeared, and a new steering wheel has been installed.
The car will receive a two-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 136 hp of domestic production and an electromechanical transfer case with a washer control. A new six-speed manual transmission, also available in Russia, will be combined with the engine. It will be installed on cars with a 150 hp ZMZ Pro gasoline engine with a volume of 2.7 liters.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that the Russian automaker Sollers switched to using galvanized body parts in the production of a line of Sollers brand pickups. Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) is the supplier of rolled metal products for the new press production in Ulyanovsk.
