There have been 307 road accidents in Russia over the past 24 hours.

Over the past day, 307 road accidents have occurred on Russian roads, in which 30 people were killed and 387 injured. 29 of the dead were passengers and drivers. This was reported to Izvestia on June 25 by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

So, in the Republic of Bashkortostan, on 195 km of the Ufa — Inzer —Beloretsk regional highway, a 34-year-old SUV driver, exceeding the set speed, drove into the oncoming lane in a prohibited place, where he collided with a passenger car. The 43-year-old driver of an oncoming car and four of his passengers were killed in the accident.

The driver of the SUV, his four—year-old daughter, as well as the fifth passenger of the second participant in the collision, a 15-year-old schoolgirl, were hospitalized with injuries. According to preliminary data, the car accident was caused by a speed discrepancy between the specific driving conditions allowed by the driver of the SUV.

There were 18 accidents involving buses, in which there were no fatalities, but 35 road users, including two children, needed medical help. 13 bus accidents were caused by traffic violations committed by their drivers.

In the city of Tynda, Amur region, in the morning, a 42-year-old bus driver en route from Tynda to the village. Vostochny with 13 passengers in the cabin, when turning left, drove into oncoming traffic in a prohibited place, where he ran into a metal fence. As a result of the accident, three bus passengers were injured and ended up in the hospital, and six more passengers were sent for outpatient treatment after receiving medical care.

As a result of 60 accidents, 28 of which occurred at pedestrian crossings and 32 outside their area of operation, one pedestrian was killed, and another 60 were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured were 14 child pedestrians, 10 of whom were injured when crossing the roadway outside pedestrian crossings. 55 accidents involving minors were also registered, as a result of which 58 road users of this category were injured, including 20 young passengers and 12 motor transport drivers. Two children were killed: a girl passenger in a car and a teenager driving a moped.

So, in the evening in the Moscow region, on 12 km of the Lovtsy — Lovetsky Borki —Beloomut highway, a 16-year-old schoolboy on a scooter lost control due to lack of driving skills and drove into the oncoming lane, where he collided with a passenger car. A ninth-grader who rode a moped without a helmet was killed. He had not previously been issued a driver's license.

In the Republic of Bashkortostan, at night on 105 km of the Beloretsk — Uchaly —Miass highway, a 19-year-old driver without a driver's license, unable to control a passenger car, drove off the road at speed, after which the car overturned. Two passengers of the car were killed in the accident, including a 15-year-old schoolgirl who was in the back seat and was not wearing a seat belt. The culprit of the incident and two other passengers were hospitalized with injuries.

The State Traffic Inspectorate called on citizens who have not been trained in driving schools and have not received the right to drive vehicles in accordance with the established procedure, or who have been deprived of such a right, to refrain from trying to get behind the wheel and drive onto public roads. With such reckless actions, they endanger not only their personal lives and health, but also the lives and health of other road users, including their passengers.

"If you are driving a vehicle, correctly assess its dimensions and speed, weather conditions, condition and width of the roadway, terrain and the possibility of skidding. Give up risky driving, avoid overtaking, driving into the oncoming lane and other dangerous maneuvers, especially at night. Keep the distance between the vehicles and do not exceed the permitted speed limit. Driving discipline is especially necessary if there are children inside your car," said Police Colonel Sergey Hrantskevich, head of the Department for Road Safety Promotion and Prevention of Child traffic Injuries at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The death rate in road accidents is planned to be reduced by one and a half times by 2030.
