A farewell ceremony for People's Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Nozhkin has begun in the Lower Church of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. This was reported on June 25 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The published footage shows that the ceremony was attended by relatives and fans of the artist, who gathered in the temple building. At the same time, the church itself is almost completely filled with those who came to say goodbye. Flowers are brought to Nozhkin's portrait. In addition, a wreath from Russian President Vladimir Putin with red roses and the Russian tricolor was also sent to the ceremony.

The actor was well known to the domestic audience for his roles in the films "Walking through Torment", "The Resident's Mistake", "At the beginning of Glorious Deeds", "Peter's Youth", "Solo Swimming" and "Liberation".
