LRT reported the death of the Lithuanian mercenary Kailusa, who fought in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Lithuanian Ignas Kailius, who was a foreign mercenary of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), died while performing one of the tasks given to him by the militants. This was reported on June 24 by the LRT portal with reference to data from a resource that tracks information about foreign mercenaries in the Ukrainian army.

"In early June, Ignas Kailius, a missing Lithuanian volunteer soldier, died in Ukraine," the article says.

This militant, as noted in the text, became the third of his fellow citizens who died in Ukraine. It was noted that Kailusa was 25 years old, he went on his last assignment on June 2.

Against the background of an acute shortage of personnel, Kiev is increasingly attracting "volunteers" from abroad.

The publication El Mundo learned back on February 19 that seven mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Lithuania were so afraid of simulated combat during the exercises that they abandoned the entire training. At the same time, these soldiers voluntarily arrived in Ukraine and intended to join the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
