The Sberbank station of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will be made using elements of architectural bionics, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in the Maks messenger.

"The concept is based on a combination of technologies and forms inspired by wildlife," the mayor wrote.

The station complex will be located under the projected passage No. 7107 in the Kuntsevo area.

Curved columns lined with acrylic stone with the texture of natural materials will be installed in the platform hall. The ceiling arches and track walls will be covered with aluminum honeycomb panels for natural stone, the flooring will be made of granite in dark shades.

Special attention will be paid to lighting: bionic shaped luminaires will create light lines passing from columns to arches and forming the effect of "floating space".

"Now the station is more than half ready. We plan to complete the work next year," Sobyanin said.

The Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line will include 12 stations and will connect the Moscow City Shopping Center and the Sberbank district. The technical launch of the first section of the line, from the Business Center to General Karbyshev Boulevard, was recently completed. The second section, to Novorizhskaya, is scheduled to be launched in 2027.
