As a result of a night strike by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) completely destroyed an entire entrance to one of the residential buildings in Gorlovka, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Izvestia publishes relevant footage on June 24.
"As you can see, as a result of a powerful explosion, the entrance was completely destroyed: load-bearing floors were formed. At the moment, the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is continuing to sort through the rubble, "— described the correspondent of"Izvestia" Evgeny Bykovsky.
It is noted that the blow fell on the facade of the seventh entrance of a five-story apartment building. As Natalia, a local resident, added, the sounds of flying drones were heard at about 01:12 a.m. After the explosion, she and other civilians came out of their apartments and found the entrance already burning, to which special equipment soon arrived.
The mayor of Gorlovka, Ivan Prikhodko, told Izvestia that the entrance could not be restored and would have to be demolished. According to him, there were 15 apartments, eight of which were occupied by people. The mayor stressed that the administration is currently working with all the residents who now need to be relocated. This issue, he said, will be resolved within 24 hours.
On the same day, Prikhodko reported that two people had died there as a result of a drone strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kalininsky district of Gorlovka, and later clarified that the number of victims had increased to three.
A fire started at the site of the impact, which was later extinguished on an area of 200 square meters. m. The head of the fire and rescue squad of the city, Ilya Kravchuk, clarified that the fire affected all five floors of the building.
