The prosecutor's office has declared lawful the initiation of a criminal case into the deaths of two people on a river in Yakutia. They ended up in the water when the boat capsized.
The incident occurred on June 15, 120 km upstream from the village of Nelemnoye in the Verkhnekolymsky district. The skipper hit an obstacle on the Yasachnaya River, which caused the boat to capsize. Three people ended up in the water without life jackets.
According to IA YakutiaMedia, the skipper managed to get ashore on his own. The location of the two passengers has not been established.
