A pedestrian died after being hit by a car on a highway in Primorye

A passenger car hit a pedestrian on the road between Mikhaylovka and Ussuriysky in Primorsky Krai. The victim died in hospital.

The accident occurred at night. According to the UssurMedia news agency, a 57-year-old man was crossing the roadway in violation of traffic rules when he was hit by a Toyota Camry driven by a 38-year-old driver.

The pedestrian suffered severe head and abdominal injuries. He was taken to the hospital in a coma and died a few hours later.

The motorist has nine years of driving experience and has not previously been brought to administrative responsibility for traffic violations.
