The CEC received applications from 33 regions for online voting in the elections.

Applications for the use of remote electronic voting (DEG) in the upcoming elections were submitted by 33 election commissions. This was announced on June 24 by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the Russian Federation, Ella Pamfilova, during a meeting.

"As part of the current election campaign, the Central Election Commission received applications for the use of DEG from 33 election commissions — on the federal platform of 32 regions and Moscow, in which DEG is implemented on the Moscow system," she said.

Pamfilova added that the planned scale of the use of DEG exceeds its use in previous elections. It is specified that 48.4 million voters will potentially be able to vote in the upcoming elections using DEG, while 86% of them already have a matched account. Such a large number of registered voters in the regions creates a high potential for online voting.

According to Pamfilova, in addition to the elections of deputies of the State Duma, remote electronic voting is planned to be used during more than 640 election campaigns. In total, about 3.6 thousand types of ballots will be presented.

The party will provide special attention and benefits during the preliminary voting to its veterans.

Pamfilova also said that no one is going to cancel the traditional voting at polling stations. According to her, all polling stations will be provided with a sufficient number of paper ballots.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the issue of postponing the elections to the State Duma was not being discussed. He also added that preparations are already underway. On June 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the appointment of elections of State Duma deputies for September 20, 2026.
