"No, there are no agreements," he said during the 12th Primakov Readings International Expert Forum.

According to Peskov, the Russian side also has no understanding about the venue for the next meetings with Kiev. He clarified that Russia's willingness to negotiate is a consistent position of President Vladimir Putin, which the head of state regularly declares.

In addition, the Kremlin representative recalled that two years ago the Russian leader outlined the main parameters of the Russian position that are needed to end the Ukrainian crisis.

At the final press conference in Astana, Putin declared Russia's readiness to resume negotiations and assessed the prospects for ending the conflict.

The day before, Putin said that peace talks with Ukraine had been interrupted at Kiev's initiative, but Russia remained ready for dialogue based on the agreements reached in Istanbul. According to him, the Kiev regime's attacks on Russian territories are aimed at creating an appearance of superiority before a possible resumption of contacts.

At the same time, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov clarified that the Russian Federation was ready at any time to resume negotiations with Ukraine at the point where they had stopped. He recalled that the Ukrainian side had "gone off the radar" in the fall and stopped taking the initiative in negotiations.
