Two lines of cars will be produced under the new Russian brand Jeland. This was reported on June 24 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the brand's factory in St. Petersburg.

Currently, the former GM plant in Shushary, now owned by AGR Holding, is developing J-series crossovers similar to models of the Chinese brand Jaecoo. Now J6 cars are rolling off the assembly line, their production is carried out on a full cycle. Preparations are underway for the release of larger models, the J7 and J8.

A line of C-series cars, similar to crossovers from another Chinese brand, Omoda, will begin rolling off the assembly line at the Kaluga AGR plant in the fall.

In addition, in addition to the well-known C5 and C7 models in Russia, a completely new C4 model, the most compact in the line, will be launched.

Jeland is one of four joint projects of the Russian holding AGR and the Chinese company Defetoo, in addition to Tenet, Tenet Plus and Esteo.

The Jeland J6 crossover, the first model of the new domestic brand, went on sale on June 11. The model is available in three trim levels at a price of 2.29 million, 2.55 million and 2.7 million rubles, respectively. The J7 model was announced on June 17, and the flagship J8 SUV was unveiled on June 24.
