The demand for event specialists in Russia increased by 41% before the wedding and graduation season

On the eve of the wedding and prom season, the Russian event services market is experiencing a noticeable revival: the number of vacancies in the field of event management increased by 41% compared to the first five months of 2025. This is evidenced by the data analyzed on June 24 by experts from the Avito Work and Avito Services platforms.

"The season of weddings, proms and other mass events has traditionally become a period of increased demand for event industry professionals. Companies and private customers are more actively looking for employees who help organize a holiday, create content, provide technical support and a high level of service for guests," explained Andrey Kucherenkov, Director of Avito Jobs business area.

The largest increase in vacancies was recorded among sound engineers (+59%). The average salary offer for them was 101,364 rubles per month. Employers were also noticeably more likely to look for busboys (+51%, with an average salary of 84,363 rubles) and artists (+43%, with an average of 55,943 rubles).

At the same time as the number of vacancies increased, the level of wages also increased. Barista services rose the most in a year (+40% of salary year-on-year), tailors (+33%), event hosts (+33%) and video editors (+32%). The average salary in the industry in January – May 2026 was 89,742 rubles per month.

"Employers were especially actively looking for employees to organize events in the Stavropol Territory (+155%), Moscow (+154%) and Voronezh (+108%) regions," Kucherenkov noted.

According to the data collected by experts, the number of orders for banquets increased by 89%, and the need for waiters and chefs increased by 2 and 3.4 times, respectively, compared with the data collected last year. The increase in orders in other categories looks like this: wedding coordination services increased by 17%, exit ceremonies became more popular by 8%, the preparation of bachelorette parties increased by 7%, and graduation events — by 4%.

Why are they still receiving below the national average and how long will the trend towards higher earnings continue?

An analysis of the SuperJob IT service database on June 10 showed that the list of the highest-paid vacancies in the country as of early summer 2026 was topped by an offer to work as an orthopedic dentist in Perm with a salary starting from 400 thousand rubles per month.

Mikhail Tuzov, Director of Analytics at Adviros human resources company, pointed out on June 7 that the nominal accrued salary in the country exceeded 100 thousand rubles in 2026.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 5 that Russia's unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the world, at about 2.2%. At the same time, he pointed out the importance of developing labor mobility, in which a specialist can potentially find a more modern and highly paid job at a new enterprise located in another subject of the Russian Federation.
