- Videos about the "Scarlet Sails" holiday will be shown on the media facade of the Ostankino TV Tower
The legendary "Scarlet Sails" continue to expand their boundaries and rise to a new visual height for the first time. From June 23 to June 28, information about the main holiday of graduates of Russia will appear on the media facade of the Ostankino TV Tower, one of the most recognizable architectural dominants of the country.
The modern media space of the tower will turn into a large-scale platform for visual storytelling about the symbol of dreams, youth and the future. Two giant screens with a total area of 3,753 square meters will turn the TV tower into a spectacular 360-degree viewing screen. The new high-resolution media facades, located at heights of 87.5 and 150.4 m, will be visible at a distance of up to 15 km. It will certainly attract attention and give Muscovites a lively sense of celebration, the enormity of its scale and energy.
And "Scarlet Sails" will go beyond the center of St. Petersburg, the traditional stage on the Palace Square and the Neva River, the television broadcast and the digital environment and will become part of the architectural and visual code of another megacity — the capital of Russia.
In 2025, 45.7 million people worldwide saw graduation, including the Internet and international reach. This is the absolute maximum in the entire history of the Scarlet Sails. The live broadcast of the entire holiday on Channel Five set four records at once in the audiences of "All 25-59", "All 18+", "All 4+" and "Women 25-59".
The broadcast of the water-pyrotechnic show on Channel Five also took the first place among all national broadcasters in four audiences at once.: "All 25-59" (a record 13.2%), "All 18+" (12.9%), "All 4+" (13.0%) and "Women 25-59" (15.3%).
The water and pyrotechnic show was also broadcast on other federal channels. It was watched by almost every third viewer over the age of 18. The combined share of the broadcast on the four channels was 31.8%.
The online broadcast of the holiday on the Internet gathered 13.7 million people on the screens. Another 300,000 watched the graduation live on large street screens in major cities.
The appearance of the "Scarlet Sails" on the Ostankino Tower's media facade is a logical step for a project of this magnitude. It is a combination of tradition and technology, emotion and visual power, history and modernity. The holiday, which inspires millions of graduates every year, reaches new heights — literally and metaphorically.
This is how the symbol of hope, bold dreams and new horizons will shine on one of Russia's most famous towers, reminding us that the brightest sails always lead to life-changing discoveries.
After a long-term hiatus, the legendary prom was revived in 2005 on the initiative of ROSSIYA Joint Stock Bank, the Government of St. Petersburg and Channel Five.
On June 12, the first rehearsal of "Scarlet Sails - 2026" took place in St. Petersburg: the legendary brig Rossiya sailed along the Neva River, and specialists carefully worked out the route and all the technical details. For this event, the bridges in the city were built before sunset, and guests from all over the country came to the embankments. The audience had a rare opportunity to see the Brig Rossiya live — during the first rehearsal without fireworks and festive lighting, but already making a strong impression and attracting the eye.
