The cause of death of People's Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Nozhkin has been named.

Mikhail Nozhkin, People's Artist of the RSFSR, member of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia, died due to a long illness. This was announced by the artist's family on June 23.

"A long—term illness caused the death, and the man was 89 years old," TASS quoted a family member as saying.

In addition, the agency's interlocutor clarified that Nozhkin had been refusing food and water for the last few days.
