During a meeting with graduates of military universities, Putin noted that the current international situation is far from stable — the armed confrontation in the Middle East has not stopped, and the conflict potential in a number of regions of the world, including Eurasia, has seriously increased.

"If earlier the NATO countries limited themselves to supporting the Kiev regime, which came to power illegally by armed means with the help of a coup d'etat, now they openly say in the West that they are preparing for war with us, increasing military and offensive budgets," Putin stressed.

During his speech, Putin noted that Russian officers and soldiers courageously solve problems in their military area, protect people and liberate historical lands. He also added that since the beginning of the special operation, many types of weapons of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have developed qualitatively.

"In accordance with the state armament program, the nuclear triad and the ground forces are being consistently modernized, and the combat potential of the aerospace forces and navy is growing. I would like to emphasize that since the beginning of the special military operation, many types of weapons have developed qualitatively," he said, adding that over the past year more than 1,000 weapons and equipment have been tested in combat conditions, including UAVs with an improved guidance system, robotic complexes for various purposes, etc.

The President also drew attention to the fact that an operational exchange of information has been established between troops on the front line and defense enterprises. The feedback channels created allow us to collect data on the effectiveness of weapons and equipment, and take into account the assessments of military personnel who use them on the battlefield.

"All this is being done on our own, domestic scientific and technological base, and is the result of the work of our scientists, designers, engineers and workers," he said.
