The involvement of young people in destructive ideology through the Internet, games and toys is an important and pressing topic. This was stated on June 23 by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Yana Lantratova, at a consultative meeting of the national authorities of the SCO member states for the protection of human rights within the framework of the Kyrgyz Republic's Chairmanship in the SCO.

"I invited my colleagues to an event in Moscow today, which will be held on October 16-18. This is the Eurasian Ombudsman Alliance, where we work together. It will be devoted to a very important and acute topic — the involvement of young people in the destructive ideology that reaches our children through the Internet, through games, through toys, through books," Lantratova said.

According to her, this problem is relevant for all countries, and they have the opportunity to share experiences in combating such phenomena as gambling, alcoholism and drug addiction among adolescents. Lantratova noted that she receives a large number of appeals from public organizations and youth associations from different countries, which confirms the urgency of the issue.

She stressed the need to work together to protect children from destructive content and to make young people immune to dangerous ideologies. In addition, Lantratova supported the idea of uniting youth councils under the Commissioners for children's rights of different countries to share experiences.

The Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation also announced the upcoming scientific and practical conference in Moscow dedicated to unique human rights practices in a multipolar world. She expressed her willingness to actively cooperate in this direction, noting the important role of civil society in the work of the Ombudsmen.

Ilya Rusyaev, a lawyer and founder of the Rusyaev Club business community, announced on May 5 that the government had approved a set of preventive measures among young people until 2030, which includes monitoring open activity on social networks to identify prohibited information and destructive behavior. Separately, the lawyer stressed that the identification of "destructive behavior" does not automatically mean that it is being held accountable. For this, a specific offense is required — for example, public calls for prohibited actions.
