On the afternoon of June 22, a missile threat was declared in Voronezh. The Governor of the Voronezh Region, Alexander Gusev, said that the air defense forces on duty had detected and destroyed "several high-speed aerial targets" in the sky above the city. According to him, objects in the city were also damaged.

Victims and injured

According to the governor, five people were killed in the missile attack. Several dozen citizens applied to medical institutions, most of them were released home after receiving assistance. Prior to this, three victims were reported, one of whom was in serious condition. Following a meeting of the operational headquarters, the governor clarified that some of the injured were in extremely serious condition.

The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case under the article on a terrorist act following the attack of the Ukrainian army on Voronezh.
