- The expert named a way to distinguish an employee's laziness from the desire to find an easy way.
An expert on socio-economic policy, Yakov Yakubovich, told how to distinguish an employee who is looking for an easy way from someone who simply avoids work.
In conversation with the agency RuNews24.Ru On Monday, June 22, the specialist noted that laziness can be both harmful and beneficial. According to him, it is important to distinguish between idleness and the desire to simplify routine work.
The expert noted that the so-called constructive laziness helps people to look for faster and more effective ways to complete tasks, automate processes and get rid of unnecessary actions. This approach often becomes a source of new solutions and improvements.
At the same time, Yakubovich emphasized, the line runs where the desire for simplification does not turn into shirking duties and reducing the quality of work.
"Laziness as an engine of progress does not mean idleness, but unwillingness to do stupid things. The most effective employees are usually those who don't like to repeat themselves and are constantly looking for ways to simplify their lives. But only as long as this simplification does not turn into sabotage," the expert concluded.
Earlier on June 22, Selecty senior consultant Evgenia Hoffman told Izvestia that it is possible to identify a procrastinator in an interview by his behavior. In particular, it is possible to find out the candidate's approach to work: which tasks he prioritizes and which are secondary to him. According to her observations, representatives of the zoomer generation are more likely to procrastinate, but this is not an absolutely accurate label.
HR expert Garry Muradian, in an interview with NSN on June 16, explained that inefficient employees are kept in areas with a shortage of personnel. He added that this trend is especially typical for single-industry towns with city-forming enterprises, notes 360.ru .
Prior to that, on June 9, HR expert Vladlena Poluektova warned that the abrupt return of employees from remote work to the office without preparation and a clear explanation of the reasons could cause resistance in the team. If the company does not explain which tasks require personal presence, office days can be perceived as a formality or a personal initiative of the head, writes RT.
