Military expert Yuri Knutov said that the Russian military has at its disposal various systems designed to combat the British Crossbow missiles, the supply of which is being discussed for Ukraine.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, June 22, the expert noted that almost any relevant Russian weapon would be able to shoot down a British missile used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"We will be able to shoot down the missile with various anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM): S-300PMU-2, S-400, S-350 Vityaz. And I'm not even talking about the S-500 Prometheus and Buk-M2. And even under certain conditions, the Pantsir complex can work," Knutov stressed.

The expert added that the planned production rate of Crossbow missiles is about 20 units per month, and the cost of one rocket is estimated at about 400-500 thousand euros.

The Financial Times newspaper reported on June 21 that the British Ministry of Defense had presented three prototypes of long-range missiles designed specifically for Ukraine. One of them was the MBDA UK Crossbow rocket, writes NSN. It is equipped with its own visual guidance system and does not contain American components. According to the publication, the mass of the Crossbow warhead is about 300 kg, and the flight range reaches 800 km. It is noted that the rocket is designed for use in conditions where GPS signals can be suppressed or weakened.
