More than 2,000 people attended the start of the "Race of Heroes" in the Moscow region

On June 20, the traditional "Race of Heroes" steeplechase took place at the Alabino training ground in the Moscow region. The event was attended by over 2,000 people.

The participants had to overcome an 8-kilometer track with 32 obstacles of varying degrees of difficulty for strength, agility and endurance. It included traditional handgrips that required hand strength, fences, carrying loads, as well as overcoming ditches and mud-and-water obstacles. The culmination of the "Race" was again the ascent of Mount Everest, an eight—meter slide with ropes with vertical ascent.

"We are pleased to note that more than two thousand participants attended the start of the Heroes Race last Saturday, putting aside their other activities for outdoor sports. This suggests that the "Race of Heroes" has become a very important part of Moscow's sporting cultural code. Challenging ourselves is already a great heroism, so I would like to warmly thank each of our participants who passed our obstacle course this weekend — all together and each individually," said Igor Kaktysh, head of the Heroes Race.

Anyone over the age of 18 can take part in the "Hero Race" either individually as part of a mass start, or as part of a team of 10 people accompanied by a professional instructor. There were other activities for the participants and visitors of the fan zone during the event, such as a field kitchen, a quad pong, inflatable darts, mass warm-ups, photo zones, as well as recreation and recreation areas.

The next Moscow "Race of Heroes" will be held at the Alabino training ground on July 25.
