Tennis player Medvedev dropped to ninth place in the ATP rankings

On June 22, Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev lost two positions in the updated ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and dropped from seventh to ninth place. The list is published on the organization's website.

The first racket of Russia in the ranking was surpassed by American Taylor Fritz, who rose to seventh place. Another Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev retained the 13th place. At the same time, tennis player Karen Khachanov dropped out of the top twenty of the ATP rankings for the first time since 2025. The Russian lost four positions and dropped to 22nd place.

There were no changes in the top three. Yannick Sinner continues to take the first place, Carlos Alcaraz comes second, and Alexander Zverev retains the third place, Sport-Express noted.

On June 19, Medvedev finished his performance at the ATP tournament in Halle, Germany, losing in the quarterfinals to 81st racket of the world Daniel Altmaier from Germany. The meeting ended with Altmaier's victory with a score of 6:4, 6:7 (6:8), 6:4. The German tennis player made his way to the main draw of the tournament at the special invitation of the organizers.
