Ural Music Night festival gathered 450 thousand people

The Music Night music festival has ended in Yekaterinburg. He was remembered for his loud and unexpected hits, new discoveries, and, of course, his scale. This year, almost half a million people sang their favorite compositions on the streets of the city from night to dawn. On a night like this, the main thing is not to oversleep all the fun. As soon as the sun disappears below the horizon, the concentration of stars in Yekaterinburg goes through the roof. Thousands of people discover their favorite artists from a new perspective.

"Yekaterinburg is generally the cultural capital of the Urals in this sense. We saw how different artists perform on different stages, it's impressive," said Julia Peresild, an actress of theater and cinema, the leader of the Mandragora group.

Each viewer can customize their own festival player — choose one or more genres, there are many of them, and then create their own playlist of artists. Listen to something new, or return to the legends.

Newlyweds Anastasia and Nikolai went out to register their wedding in the afternoon to the track "Forever Young", and in the evening continued the celebration on the rock stage.

"Back then, songs were written without any expectation that they would become popular. It's just that people did it because they couldn't help it," said Sergey Bobunets, a rock musician and leader of the Semantic Hallucinations group.

This year's Ural Music Night is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Sverdlovsk Rock Club. And now, instead of the lyrical Yulia Savicheva, a rock diva appears on stage, who launched into "breaking bad."

"I stopped being shy, or something. Well, I'm expressing myself and expressing myself. How I feel is how I express myself," said singer Yulia Savicheva.

REN TV helps guests remember the best moments of the evening by installing photo booths at the main venues of the festival.

"Chaif", PIZZA, Mixband, "Intonation" — young performers share the same stage with cult groups. Hundreds of 12,000 applications have passed the competition.

"I was chosen among them, I was so happy. I looked at the statistics recently and my auditions increased with the start of the festival," said Kris Tina leader Kristina Korneliuk.

Mixing genres, Yekaterinburg turns into one big open-air stage for almost a day. The artists of the Ural Opera arrange a performance right on the balcony of the theater. Music sounds from every park, on the streets and embankments: more than a hundred official scenes and dozens of spontaneous ones.

This year, the festival has only one minor note. In April, the ideological inspirer of Ural Music Night, Evgeny Gorenburg, died.

"Evgeny Lvovich always said: "Show must go on" — the show must go on. We can preserve the memory of Evgeny Lvovich by continuing to do what he loved, and doing it cheerfully, not with tears in our eyes," said Ekaterina Shubenko, director of the Ural Music Night Festival.

Fans from all over the country came to support the festival this year. The event was attended by 450 thousand people, which is a record.

"I would like our people to unite through music, through some common events," said Sergey Prikazchikov, the leader of the PIZZA group.

Whatever genres fans choose, at dawn they all traditionally listen to the "Troubadour's Serenade", which was composed by Yuri Entin and Gennady Gladkov for the Bremen Town Musicians half a century ago.

"This is my first time at music nights, so we drove through the city. When the city goes to demonstrations at two o'clock in the morning and when the hall, the square sings, it's very pleasant," Vladimir Shakhrin, a rock musician and leader of the Chaif group, shared his impressions.

The festival is over, but exactly one year later, the city will once again beat to the rhythm of a new night of music.
