Latvia did not support the replacement of road signs with the names of Russian cities
The Latvian government has failed to gain support for an initiative to replace road signs with the names of Russian and Belarusian cities. This was announced on June 22 by the LSM portal.
"The inscriptions "Moscow", "Vitebsk" or other names of Russian or Belarusian cities can still be read on 318 road signs in Latvia. The initiative to replace them, submitted to the government, has not yet been accepted," the publication says.
