The feat of the DPRK soldiers in the Kursk region will be added to Russian history textbooks

Information on the participation of the DPRK military in the liberation of the Kursk region will be added to the new history textbook. This was announced on June 22 by Mikhail Myagkov, Scientific Director of the Russian Military Historical Society (RVIO).

"The participation of North Korean soldiers in the operation to liberate the Kursk region will, of course, be added," he told RIA Novosti.

Myagkov added that the training manual will also include information about the heroes of the special operation and new military weapons.

Vladislav Kononov, the assistant to the Office of the President of the Russian Federation for state Policy in the humanitarian field, executive secretary of the unified line of textbooks on history and social studies, announced on May 18 that from September 1, 2026, schoolchildren in grades 9-10 in Russia will study according to new social studies textbooks. Kononov noted that new textbooks for 11th grades will be introduced on September 1, 2027.
