A fan from the Russian Federation spoke about the attitude to the Russian flag at the World Cup

On June 20, Russian fan Dmitry Prusov spoke about how support for Russian symbols at the FIFA World Cup is taking place.

"As for the Russian flag, there were no questions. We walked with the flag all the time," he said in an interview with the Championship portal.

According to Prusov, other fans approached him in front of the stadiums and asked him to take photos. He added that fans from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Abkhazia were among those who showed interest. The fan also noted that he had met Russian tourists who came alone or in small groups, while their delegation numbered more than 30 people and was organized through Istanbul.

As Prusov noted, Russian football and the country as a whole are respected and warmly treated by fans. Prusov expressed hope that the current tournament would be the last World Cup without the participation of the Russian national team and the massive support of the fans of the state, stressing that Russia should be a permanent participant in such competitions.
