As a result of an accident near the village of Khalta, Irkutsk region, one person was killed. This was announced on June 21 by the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

"In the Alarsky district, police officers are investigating the circumstances of an accident that killed a pedestrian," a message on the Maks messenger said.

It is specified that the incident occurred on the 26th km of the Cheremkhovo –Golumet – Onot regional highway in the Alarsky district. The driver of a Honda Fit car, moving in the direction of the village of Nygda, hit a man who was on the roadway. The pedestrian died as a result of the incident. A check has been scheduled on the incident.

On June 19, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that 320 road accidents were recorded on Russian roads during the day, in which 34 people were killed and 372 injured. 29 of the dead were drivers and passengers. As a result of 68 accidents involving pedestrians, four people were killed, and 69 more were injured in various degrees of severity. Among the injured are 18 child pedestrians, 12 of them were injured when crossing the roadway outside the designated areas.
