A criminal case has been opened into an accident in the Dergachevsky district of the Saratov region, which killed six people. This was reported on June 20 in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 5 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles that negligently caused the death of two or more persons." — Ed.)," the message on the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that a set of measures is currently being carried out aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident.

The accident near the Saratov village of Vasilevka became known on the morning of the same day. As a result of the incident, six people died, and two more were taken to a medical facility. Two Renault Logan and Hyundai Accent passenger cars were involved in the incident.
