The leadership of Ukraine and the European Union (EU), despite the claims of the Western media, are not committed to establishing peace and resolving the conflict. This was reported on June 19 by the Serbian newspaper Pechat.

"Kiev and Brussels do not show the slightest intention to take concrete steps to find a lasting solution," the publication says.

It is emphasized that the designated parties, on the contrary, are taking such "hostile" steps that worsen the situation. For example, they create false narratives and deny all the achievements of the Russian side.

At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly expressed its readiness to hold a dialogue to find a compromise. Caring for the world, she "does not burn all possible communication bridges" and, unlike her potential interlocutors, refrains from "everyday insults," the newspaper writes.

On June 12, Russian President Vladimir Putin once again stated that Moscow was ready to negotiate with Kiev, taking into account modern realities and its own interests. Some time later, on June 19, the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, again evaded a direct answer to the question about the EU's intention to negotiate with Russia. She acknowledged that there really are such calls for unification, and then abruptly began to talk about the importance of identifying potential demands on the Kremlin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at the same time that attempts to engage in dialogue with Russia from a position of strength were a serious mistake.
