The Vice President of the United States has 15 chickens in his residence
Vice President of the United States Jay Dee Vance has installed a chicken coop in his official residence located on the grounds of the Naval Observatory in Washington. This was reported on June 19 by the Daily Mail newspaper with reference to a fragment of the Blaze TV podcast by journalist Ellie Beth Stackey.
The American politician admitted that he had long dreamed of becoming a poultry farmer. The coop, according to him, is designed in the Victorian style, which corresponds to the architecture of the residence itself. Vance called the building "The Taj Mahal among the chicken coops" and clarified that 15 chickens already live in it. The vice president also noted that he initially doubted whether his children would be interested in this hobby, but now they spend a lot of time there.
"It turns out they love chickens. It's kind of weird. I'm afraid they'll become weird chicken fans now because they'll obsessively want to go hang out with the chickens and sit in the coop. It stinks and there's droppings everywhere," Vance shared.
On April 28, US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania showed King Charles III of Great Britain and his wife a new beehive in the shape of the White House. The administration of the American leader clarified that the open and expanded beehive is located on the South Lawn of the official residence.
