The Ukrainian Armed Forces in Konstantinovka are mining their escape routes to prevent retreat

On June 20, the commander of the 78th motorized Rifle Regiment "Sever-Akhmat" of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign DZ said that soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Konstantinovka of the Donetsk People's Republic were mining escape routes and their own positions.

"The only thing they do is they mine everything, and they even mine their [militants] so that they don't go anywhere," he told TASS.

He stated that during the advance of the Russian units, mined positions are sometimes identified where the Ukrainian Armed Forces remain, and the passages to them are also mined.

The commander suggested that such actions may be related to attempts to keep personnel in position and prevent unauthorized retreat, as well as the desire of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to maintain control over the units.
