The attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on a bus in the Bryansk region was deliberate and coordinated in real time. This was announced on June 19 by Vladimir Pertsov, First Deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus.

"The drone was filled with generally destructive elements aimed not at blowing up the bus, but at the mass destruction of the people inside it," he said on the Belarus 1 TV channel.

As Pertsov noted, the blow was not an accident. The actions of the drones continued after the first hit, when passengers tried to return to the vehicle.

Militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a bus carrying a children's football team from Gomel to Gelendzhik on June 17. The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on a terrorist act after the strike, and Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered urgent assistance to all those affected. The course of investigations, which were also launched in Belarus, is under the personal control of the leader of the republic, Alexander Lukashenko.

On June 19, the Permanent Representatives of the CIS countries collectively condemned the incident and recognized the injured children as targets of the Ukrainian military for terrorist ambitions. The day before, the Belarusian side had sent a protest note to the Ukrainian side, promising to raise the issue of the tragedy at meetings of the UN, OSCE and CIS.
