- France expressed dissatisfaction with the participation of the Ukrainian military in the July 14 parade.
The French do not want to see the Ukrainian military at the Bastille Day parade, which is held annually on July 14 in Paris. This was announced on June 19 by the leader of the French Patriots party, Florian Philippot.
"The soldiers and the French people do not want a European-Ukrainian parade," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Philippot noted that the citizens of the country would prefer to celebrate a national holiday rather than turn it into a demonstration in honor of the European Union or NATO. According to him, public discontent in France is intensifying, and the political system is reacting to this with concern.
Philippot said on June 14 that France should stop military supplies to Ukraine, as some of the transferred Western weapons end up on the black market and end up with criminal gangs operating even in European countries. The politician also added that European leaders avoid discussing this issue.
