The state traffic Inspectorate will strengthen control over drivers in the regions over the weekend.

On Friday and next weekend (June 19-21), traffic police will conduct massive and continuous checks on the country's roads, with special attention being paid to the search for drunk drivers. The regional departments of the State Traffic Inspectorate announced the implementation of preventive measures.

Raids on drunk motorists will take place in the Samara, Tver, Kirov, Lipetsk, Penza regions, as well as in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and other regions of the country. The State Traffic Inspectorate asks citizens to remain indifferent to the problem of drunkenness at the wheel and to report to the police about drivers who drive drunk and behave inappropriately on the road. According to such reports, all necessary response measures will be taken, the ministry said.

"We remind you about the inadmissibility of driving under the influence of alcohol.
