In Transbaikalia, coniferous forest is being cared for in deforestation

In Transbaikalia, the restoration of forests in cut-down areas continues. The work took place on the territory of the Olovyanninsky forestry, the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry reports.

Special attention was paid to the coniferous forest. The specialists were faced with the task of preserving viable young trees and forming a healthy generation of forests that would replace adult stands in the future.

Caring for a teenager includes clearing areas of felling debris, as well as removing damaged and weakened plants. Such measures make it possible to create favorable conditions for the growth of coniferous species and contribute to the restoration of forest ecosystems.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, the work is carried out within the framework of the regional project "Forest Conservation" of the national project "Ecological Well-being".

In early June, it was reported that the plan for forest restoration in Transbaikalia was more than half completed. Since the beginning of the year, over 2 million seedlings of coniferous trees have been planted.
