Speed checks of electric bicycles of couriers have been strengthened in Moscow

Moscow has increased the speed control of couriers' electric bicycles, and now delivery vehicles are monitored at special stands designed by order of the Moscow Transport Complex. The metropolitan Department of Transport announced this in the Maks messenger on June 19.

The checks are carried out as follows. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate stop couriers to check their documents and driver's license, if any, and MADI employees confirm the courier's open shift and the correctness of his data in the Taxi AIS system. Then the electric bike goes to the measuring stand of Mostransproekt.

The inspectors of which draw up a protocol under art. 15.5 of the Administrative Code of Moscow, if the vehicle exceeds the permissible speed of 25 km / h. The case file is being sent to the Magistrate's court for further consideration. If evacuation is required, employees of the AMPP are involved.

Deptrans recalled that in 2024, Moscow introduced a Single standard for courier services, which stipulates mandatory verification of documents, requirements for the appearance of couriers, the condition of their transport and compliance with traffic regulations.

Earlier, on April 21, it was reported that the number of data center cameras recording violations of users of personal mobility equipment (SIM) in Moscow increased to 375 units. Data center cameras use neural networks to detect 67 types of violations, including from SIM users.
