The ambassadors of Great Britain, France and Germany — Nigel Casey, Nicolas de Riviere and Alexander Lambsdorff — at a meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry actually confirmed the ultimatum previously put forward to Moscow. This was stated on June 19 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in an article for Politico Europe, which was canceled at the last moment by the editorial board.

"It is significant that the London ultimatum was peremptorily confirmed by the ambassadors of Britain, France and Germany at a meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 11, which they insistently requested," he said in an article published on the website of the Foreign Ministry.

According to Lavrov, this was the only purpose of their visit to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On June 7, the leaders of the Eurotroika countries called for the active participation of European states and the United States in negotiations with Russia on ending the conflict in Ukraine. They also called for an immediate ceasefire and the start of negotiations based on the established line of contact. At the same time, Paris, Berlin and London opposed the forceful change of Ukraine's state borders.

The Eurotroika ambassadors arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry on June 11. It was noted that all three were invited to a meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin. After visiting the Russian Foreign Ministry building on Smolenskaya Square in Moscow, they got into cars and left the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry said on June 11 that at a meeting at the Russian Foreign Ministry, organized at the request of the ambassadors of France, Great Britain and Germany, European diplomats pointed out the destructiveness of their countries' approach to the conflict in Ukraine. During the conversation, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin explained Moscow's approaches to finding ways to resolve the crisis.
