Activists of the Young Guard held a rally at the residence of the British Ambassador in Moscow, where a reception was held on June 18 in honor of the birthday of King Charles III.

Journalists, political figures, as well as representatives of the cultural community, whom London considers as agents of Western values in the Russian Federation, were expected at the reception. About 450 guests were expected in total.

The protesters came with photos of children killed as a result of strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and shouted slogans critical of London: "You supply weapons that kill Russian children." At the same time, the dinner guests refused to answer questions from the demonstrators and journalists.

CNN reported on April 28 that Charles III, during a speech to the US Congress, called for the unity of NATO countries on the issue of Ukraine. In his speech, he stressed the importance of maintaining resolve, comparing the current situation with past conflicts, including world wars and other international crises.

Alexander Gusarov, director of the North Atlantic Department at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on June 2 that Britain was preparing for a "head-on collision" with Russia and was trying to prevent a detente between Moscow and Washington. According to him, since 2022, London has systematically raised the stakes in the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
