Patrushev noted the growing volume of financial support for farmers

On June 18, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev visited the Saratov Region on a working trip. The focus was on the development of the agro-industrial complex.

The Saratov Region is one of the key agricultural regions of the Volga region and makes a great contribution to ensuring food security and the country's export potential. Patrushev and the governor of the region, Roman Busargin, visited the Pegasus agricultural enterprise, where they got acquainted with corn growing technologies. In particular, in order to obtain a consistently decent crop, the company is systematically expanding the reclamation of agricultural land.

"You are receiving federal and regional support. The volume of support for agricultural producers reached 500 billion [rubles] in a year. In principle, due to the fact that United Russia also votes and always supports our appeals for increased funding. We can expect that the situation in the region is quite good, too," Patrushev said.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Busargin also got acquainted with the implementation of the state program "Integrated Rural Development" in the village of Natalino, Balakovo district, where individual housing construction is actively developing. Within the framework of the state program, drainage systems have been installed, kilometers of above-ground and underground gas pipelines have been laid, two pumping stations have been installed, and the construction of an intra-village highway continues. This will make it possible to fully provide 440 sites with the necessary infrastructure.

In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister met with Viktor Nauruzov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Resource Group of agro-industrial enterprises. The company is the largest poultry meat producer in Russia and has a strong position in the crop production and food industry.

Patrushev announced on May 29 that financing of the agro-industrial complex in 2025 exceeded 650 billion rubles, agricultural production increased by almost 5%, and the third grain harvest in the country's history was harvested. The domestic market is fully supplied with products, and the guidelines of the Food Security Doctrine have been fulfilled. He noted that further development is related to the national project on technological food safety. Grain exports this season are expected to reach 60 million tons, while shipments of seeds and breeding materials abroad increased by 40%.
