An extraordinary meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS States to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth will be held in Minsk this Friday. This was reported by the BelTA news agency on June 18.
It is specified that the reason for the emergency meeting was an act of terrorism committed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Bryansk region. The target of the drone attack was a bus carrying peaceful citizens of Belarus, including children.
According to the agency, during the meeting, the permanent representatives intend to discuss the issue of the actions of the Ukrainian side against the civilian population of the republic. The agenda includes consideration of the circumstances of the incident.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked a bus carrying a children's football team from Gomel to Gelendzhik on June 17. The victim of the tragedy was one person, a woman who turned out to be the wife of one of the coaches. According to the latest information, eight people were injured.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case on a terrorist act following the strike. Information about the incident was brought to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, which demanded an explanation from Kiev. In addition, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered urgent assistance to all those affected.
