More than 4.8 thousand people suffered from tick bites in Primorye

Since the beginning of the warm season in Primorsky Krai, more than 4.8 thousand people have suffered from tick bites. Over the past week, 600 medical visits have been registered.

In 74.2% of cases, the victims submitted ticks for rapid diagnosis. In 42.3% of cases, the causative agents of tick-borne infections were identified. The most common pests carry rickettsiosis and borreliosis. This is reported by the UssurMedia news agency.

Rospotrebnadzor specialists remind that the tick must be removed as soon as possible and taken to a laboratory to determine infection. In case of a positive result, you should contact the hospital.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 1,9 thousand people suffered from tick bites over the past week. There are more than 300 children among them.
