Russia and ASEAN agree to expand partnership on oil, gas and electricity

The Russian Federation and the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have agreed to expand trade, investment and long-term partnerships in the fields of oil, gas, LNG and electricity. This is stated on June 18 in the jointly signed Kazan Declaration of 2026 "Russia — ASEAN: Unity in Diversity — 35 years together" during the summit in the capital of Tatarstan.

"To deepen cooperation in key sectors, including energy and food security, transport and logistics, agriculture, digitalization, science and technology, including artificial intelligence, tourism and innovative manufacturing," the document says on the Kremlin's website.
