The financier listed the possible reasons for the suspension of pension payments

In some cases, the payment of an insurance pension may be suspended. Igor Balynin, an associate professor at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, told RT about this on June 18.

"Examples of such grounds are the following: the absence of receiving an insurance pension for six months in a row (suspended for six months starting from the 1st day of the month following the month in which the specified period expired), the failure of a disabled person at the appointed time for re-examination at the federal institution of medical and social expertise (suspended for three months starting from from the 1st day of the month following the month in which the specified period expired)," the specialist said.

In addition, the suspension may be due to the lack of confirmed data on the education of a person receiving a survivor's insurance pension for full-time education in an educational organization upon reaching the age of 18.

In case of elimination of the circumstances that served as the basis for the suspension of payment, it will be resumed. To do this, an application and relevant documents must be submitted to the pension provision authority.
