Almost 2 thousand people suffered from tick bites in the Krasnoyarsk Territory

Over the past week, more than 1,9 thousand people suffered from tick bites in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. There are more than 300 children among them.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, more than 10.6 thousand people have been affected since the beginning of the season. In 29 cases, local residents picked up ticks while traveling to other regions of the country.

Acaricide treatment was carried out on an area of 4.25 thousand hectares. The activity of ticks persists, and residents of the region are advised to take precautions.

Rospotrebnadzor employees note the importance of preserving the tick after its removal. The pest is asked to be transferred to a laboratory for virus testing.
